From then, the olace has always offered refreshment and also a room where people could pass the night. Until the sixties the Inn offered rooms to groups of hunters who came numerouses because attracted by the area rich of game. Since about 1975 the "Antica Locanda del Falco" has been managing by Piazza's family, who, after having operated in fresh-meat field (they had two beef butcher's shops in the near city of Piacenza), have decided to undertake the activity of restaurant-owners, starting the culture of good food and wine that they have been able to accumulate in many years of experiences. Inside the restaurant there is a little shop furnished with big aged counters where you can find different good products, while in the below part there's the beautiful wine-cellar, the other vant of the "Antica Locanda del Falco", where they let some thousands bottles settle, coming from the most important italian zones of production, with a fair choice of foreign wines. Today the "Antica Locanda del Falco" is among the historical places/restaurants of the province of Piacenza, the Castle of Rivalta, dating back to year 1000, is really fantastic, the setting in which the restaurant is collocated is unic. The person who comes here is surely a customer who is careful to the qualities of royal materials used and must be a lover of the very good cooking of this part of Emilia.
